Exhausting Exhilarating Day 1 in London

Saying good bye to Sebastian, but leaving him in good hands. Thanks, Kristin!

Dulles Airport, SO excited! Yea, even Evan, in his own way.
Layover in Dublin, 5:45am after 6-1/2 hour flight with crying babies. So much for my plan to sleep on the plane. It was not pleasant, but I did feel for the parents, especially of the child who cried non-stop for over 3 hours. So glad mine are past that stage!

Our London home in Kensington. Beautiful historic building. We're on the top floor.  We walked over 7.5 miles, to and from Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park to kill time until we could be in our flat. Not by design, mind you, by forgetting to read the fine print for how long it is in google maps. Evan shows how we all feel! But kids were troopers!

But, ahhh, just what I've been waiting for! Cask bitter beer. Short nap gave us the energy to walk to the grocery store and pub. Pubs are popular with the young kids these days, so surprising;-) It took us several extra steps to find one with available seating.
And having made it to 10:20pm, we are off to bed. Typical tourist itinerary tomorrow. Hope our feet are ready for the walking!
